Hope's Corner was saddened to hear about the passing of longstanding volunteer, board member, and co-founder Jana Powell earlier this month. Jana was part of the original Steering Committee in 2011 and later served for many years on the Board of Directors. Before Hope's Corner built its current kitchen, Jana led a dedicated team of volunteers in the Los Altos United Methodist Church kitchen every Friday afternoon. Jana is remembered for her kindness and the compassion she showed others every single day. Our Hope’s Corner community won’t be the same without her.
Jana's memorial service will be held at 2pm on November 21st at Los Altos United Methodist Church (655 Magdalena Avenue, Los Altos). Please join all who loved Jana in celebrating her legacy.
